Vineyard
Lupin Ridge Estate vineyard is mountain Cabernet at its finest. It is the highest elevation vineyard in the Moon Mountain District AVA and is planted exclusively to clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon. The difficult, high elevation growing conditions lead to very small yields as a result of the tiny intensely flavored grape clusters produced under those conditions. We farm the vineyard organically, and are in process of switching it over to biodynamic.

Tasting Notes
Our 2023 Lupin Ridge Estate Cabernet Sauvignon opens with deep, inviting aromas of red berries, black cherries, and cassis, laced with violet floral notes,graphite, and a hint of fresh herbs. On the palate it is full?bodied, delivering ripe, concentrated fruit framed by firm, refined tannins and lively acidity that give the wine strong structure and balance. Layers of dark/red fruits mingle with subtle mineral and earthy undertones, revealing complexity and a sense of the rugged terroir. The wine feels powerful yet refined,and the finish is long and lingering leaving behind a resonant echo of fruit, mineral, and mountain character.
