Tasting Notes

The 2021 Metal Bender Red Blend pours a nearly opaque purple with a just visible crimson edge.  The Cabernet Sauvignon heavy blend has an explosive nose of graphite, bing cherry and perfumed violet, no doubt from the Syrah in the blend.  It’s slick and silky and packed with pure red fruit flavors.  The tannins are fine grained but add enough structure to age effortlessly for years to come.

"The 2021 Metal Bender Red Blend is composed of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Syrah, and 14% Petite Sirah. Deep garnet-purple in color, it offers spicy notes of black pepper, garrigue, and anise plus plum preserves and raspberry compote. The full-bodied palate is bright, with red and black berries and soft, rounded tannins, finishing long and perfumed."
-Lisa Perrotti-Brown, MW

"Ripe blackberries and currants with hints of iodine, walnuts, black olives and moist bark. Full-bodied, firm and chalky with deep, succulent fruit in the middle. Velvety texture with a lingering finish."
-James Suckling
