Santa Barbara County Babbling Brook 2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir - Stringer Cellars

Santa Barbara County Babbling Brook 2018
Rosé of Pinot Noir

$19.00 750mL

Namesake:
This wine is affectionately named for the winemaker's chatty, Rosé
loving wife Brooke. In keeping with the "Stringer theme", the
winery designed a label with a stylized “Brook Trout” front and

center.

Vineyards:
Shokrian Vineyards or “Verna’s” is a beautiful 100-acre
parcel located 2 miles Northeast of Highway 101 in Los Alamos. It
has approximately 52 acres of mature vines primarily planted to
Pinot Noir, Syrah and Chardonnay. The vineyard was planted and
farmed by the Melville family since 1999 and sold to Cat Canyon

Vineyards (Babak Shokrian) in 2013.

Winemaking:
The fruit was hand harvested early in the season and is full of
bright acidity. After sorting, the fruit was gently pressed and left
on the skins for just 30 minutes, infusing the ideal color saturation.
After being left over night to settle, the wine was racked and
fermented at cool temperatures in stainless tanks. To add additional
complexity and richness, the wine went through partial Malolactic

fermentation before being bottled.

Tasting Notes:
An explosive nose of white strawberry, watermelon taffy, and hints
of apricot make way to notes of mandarin orange, white peach, ruby
red grapefruit and wet stone on the palate. This dry and fruity wine
will surprise you with it's balance, finesse and racy acidity. This is
the ideal wine for any warm weather day! Enjoy our Rosé slightly
under cellar temperature (52°F) for maximum complexity, or
chilled on a hot summer day as a refreshing libation
