Metal Bender Sauvignon Blanc
Lake County

$18.00 750mL

The Metal Bender line of wines are named in honor of the
Stringer Family’s manufacturing business in Wisconsin. The
business stamps, machines and fabricates metal into components
used in industries throughout America. They are “Metal
Benders”.

Vineyard:
Down a long dusty gravel road outside of Lower lake in Lake
County you will find the Bad Rat Ranch vineyard. The fruit for
Metal Bender White comes from this vineyard. The hot days
and cool nights make it the perfect place to fully ripen Sauvignon
Blanc.

Varietal Composition:
100% Musqué Clone Sauvignon Blanc

Winemaking:
The hand-picked fruit was sorted, gently crushed and the juice
left for an hour on its skins before pressing for texture and
complexity. The juice was cold settled overnight before
inoculation. The wine slowly fermented to dryness at a cool
temperature for nearly six weeks. Malolactic fermentation was
blocked to retain freshness.

Ageing:
Five months in stainless steel tank.
