2018 Santa Barbra County Rosé of Pinot Noir "Babbling Brook"
The 2018 Babbling Brook Rosé was named for the winemaker's chatty, Rosé loving wife, Brooke. In keeping with the fish theme, we designed a label with a stylized “Brook Trout” front and center. This whole cluster pressed Rosé has an explosive nose of white strawberry, watermelon taffy, and hints of apricot, making way to notes of mandarin orange, white peach, ruby red grapefruit and wet stone. This dry and fruity wine will surprise you with its balance, finesse and racy acidity.

2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
The backbone of the 2016 Napa Cabernet (75%) comes from the famed Ghost Block Vineyard in Yountville, with the remainder being Cabernet and Petit Verdot from the Stagecoach Vineyard high in the Vaca Mountains overlooking the Napa Valley floor. The handpicked fruit was destemmed, vigorously sorted and moved to a combination of a closed top stainless tank and small new 60 Gallon French oak barrels for fermentation. This wine is deep and brooding with notes of chocolate and cherries. The wine can be enjoyed now with a short decant or laid down for future enjoyment.
Aged 20 months in 75% new French oak
2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon "Stagecoach Vineyard"
The 2016 Stagecoach Cabernet is comprised of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot all from Stagecoach Vineyard. The vineyard lies 1,800 feet above the valley floor in the eastern Vaca Mountains of Napa Valley. Stagecoach extends from the Atlas Peak AVA all the way north to the Pritchard Hill region of Napa. This cabernet comes from the Pritchard Hill region that is known for its red volcanic rock soils and warm daytime temperatures with cool clear nights. The wine was barrel fermented in 60 gallon French oak barrels to both maximize extraction and soften the formidable mountain tannins. The wine displays bright red fruit flavors with lively acidity and a nose of cassis and spice. It's tight and tannic; a long decant is needed to enjoy now. The wine will continue to soften with age.
Aged in 100% new French oak
2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon "Coliseum Block"
The 2016 Stringer Cellars Coliseum Block is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Hossfeld Vineyard “Coliseum Block.” The vineyard is located in Napa Valley’s Soda Canyon region between Stags Leap AVA and Atlas Peak. This extreme hillside vineyard was planted almost thirty years ago on a steep southeastern facing slope using dynamite to terrace the rocky terrain. The bowl shaped, terraced vineyard looks like the ancient Roman Coliseum, hence the name. This wine, like the Stagecoach, was also barrel fermented in 60 gallon French oak barrels to maximize extraction and soften the tannins. The wine has a creamy texture with a mineral driven backbone from the solid rock from which the vines grow. While approachable now with a decant, aging will be rewarded.
Aged in 100% new French oak
The Coliseum Block burned in last year’s Atlas Peak Fire and is being replanted. Stringer Cellars will make wine from the vineyard again in 3-5 years.
2016 Alder Springs Vineyard Syrah "Spirit Rock"
The 2016 Alder Springs Vineyard Syrah is 100% Syrah grown high in the remote redwood covered hills of northern Mendocino County. Our Syrah hails from the “Spirit Rock” block of the vineyard situated at the very top of the ranch at nearly 2800 feet in elevation. The block is named Spirit Rock after the giant sandstone outcropping that the vineyard looks out over that is sacred to the local indigenous tribespeople. The wine is inspired by the great Syrahs of the Northern Rhone Valley in France. The nose is slightly smoky and savory with hints of herbs and dried fruit, while the pallet is a bit briny and full of the flavors of raspberry kirsch and ripe fruit tart. This wine will reward further cellaring.

The 2016 Harrison-Clarke Vineyard Syrah is 100% Syrah from the premier Ballard Canyon AVA in Santa Barbara County. Our Harrison- Clarke Syrah is no different. The wine pours a deep purple color with a nose of dried herbs violet and sage. The wine tastes of blackberries and plum with smooth tannins rounded out by its time in barrel. The wine is ready to drink now but will reward further cellaring.

2016 Metal Bender Red - California Red Blend
The “Metal Bender“ red is a homage to the Stringer Family’s manufacturing business. In the world of manufacturing they are known as “Metal Benders.” After approximately one year in barrel and after the wines have settled into what they were going to be, a barrel selection was made to decide what barrels would become the first label and what would be blended to become the “Metal Bender” blend. The 2016 Metal Bender is comprised of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon from both Sonoma and Napa, 20% Syrah from Santa Barbara and Mendocino County, 13% Petite Sirah from Napa and 2% Petit Verdot from Napa as well. The wine displays notes of bright red cherry, vanilla and cedar with the structure and acid backbone to hold up to hearty dishes.
Aged 20 months in 50% new French oak
2017 Metal Bender White
100% Sauvignon Blanc from the high elevation Bad Cat Ranch in Lake County, California. This region is quickly becoming known for growing world class Sauvignon Blanc. The wine has a nose of mineral, lime and cucumber and a soft full pallet with tropical fruit flavors like honeydew, guava and ripe pear.

2016 John Sebastiano Vineyard Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills
The 2016 Stringer Cellars John Sebastiano Vineyard (JSV) hails from within the windy, foggy limestone hills of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara County. The vineyard benefits from strong Pacific Ocean winds and a marine fog layer that makes the Sta. Rita Hills region so unique. This Chardonnay comes from a steep hillside block of JSV that is shrouded in fog every morning until it is burned away by the midday sun. This combination of fog and sun is what allows the fruit to retain a strong acid backbone while ripening. Flavors of citrus and lemon curd mix with hints of toasty oak to create a Chardonnay that is both rich in mouthfeel and light on its feet.
Aged in 100% French oak, 25% of which was new. The wine remained in barrel for 12 months and tank aged for an additional 4 months.
